Superstition Mountain Promotional Corporation (SMPC) is a non-profit organization (IRS 501 C3) run by dedicated volunteers that promote the City of Apache Junction and the Superstition Mountain area. SMPC was formed in 1993 and our mission is to raise funds that support youth organizations in the Apache Junction area. SMPC works cooperatively with the City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department, Apache Junction Mounted Rangers, and other local organizations to put on Lost Dutchman Days each February.
With a mission to raise funds that support youth organizations in the Apache Junction and East Valley area, SMPC is dedicated to involving volunteers that will benefit directly from the fund raising activities. Among our volunteer organizations that contribute greatly to Lost Dutchman Days and other activities are Apache Junction Little League, Boys and Girls Club of Apache Junction, 4-H clubs, Rotary, Elks Lodge 2349, Eagles, CAAFA, and more.
Lost Dutchman Days is an annual event that is hosted in conjunction by SMPC and the AJ Mounted Rangers. Taking place the last weekend of every February, this is an event for the whole family to enjoy with a purpose of raising money for kids.
Our new rodeo scholarship program is available to all kids under the age of 18 that are currently on the rodeo circuit and need help paying for entries, equipment or anything else, that's what this program is for.
